Jon V. Forehand

Jon Forehand has over 30 years of experience practicing law across South Georgia. Over the years, he has built a reputation of providing professional, courteous and compassionate legal services

Mr. Forehand’s practice is concentrated in trial law and dispute resolution.

He offers aggressive criminal defense including DUI, felony offenses, misdemeanors and traffic offenses. He also has extensive experience in exploring relief from convictions, through appeals, motions for new trial, habeas corpus relief, expungement and record restriction.

Mr. Forehand is also a network attorney for P.A.G.E., Georgia’s leading education association. He defends educators charged with crimes, provides legal advice regarding education employment matters and represents educators before the Professional Standards Commission

Mr. Forehand also represents individuals in Family Law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, modification, legitimation, contempt and related matters.

Because of his years of experience, Mr. Forehand is often called upon by Courts and other attorneys to mediate or arbitrate cases so that matters can be resolved without trial at a greatly reduced expense to all parties.

Mr. Forehand received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Lee University. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia, School of Law. He completed a risk management program through the University of Cambridge.

Mr. Forehand is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution for mediation and arbitration.
